Iodine Software, an early stage software company that is revolutionizing the way hospitals approach clinical documentation improvement, announced the addition of Fran Jurcak, MSN, RN, CCDS as Clinical Documentation Program Manager, adding clinical strength to its team of healthcare technology veterans. Jurcak will focus on accelerating product development on Iodine’s next-generation software solution, which empowers CDI teams to improve productivity, accuracy and outcomes as the industry navigates the changing landscape of revenue cycle management.
“Fran’s wealth of experience provides Iodine a detailed level of clinical knowledge and CDI program management. We view her addition as a sign of our commitment to being the leading company in Documentation Integrity,” said CEO and Co-founder, Michael Kadyan. “Our new innovations and increasing demand from our clients led us to look for top talent, allowing us to continue to support our CDI teams in their efforts to improve overall performance.”
Jurcak is a professional nurse with an extensive background in healthcare operations management and CDI consulting, and she currently serves on the CCDS certification board for the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists. She is also a member of the University of Michigan School of Nursing Alumni Board of Governors. Jurcak is the author of The CCDS Exam Study Guide and a nationally recognized expert and frequent speaker at state and national industry conferences. She joins Iodine from Huron Consulting Group, where she spent the last seven years as Senior Director in their CDI practice.
“As the CDI profession expands beyond the concept of cc and mcc capture, Iodine has developed cutting-edge software that focuses attention on true documentation issues in the medical record”, said Jurcak. “I’m excited by the opportunity to be involved with this organization.”
