Since our inception in 2010, Iodine Software’s mission has been to change healthcare by applying our deep experience in healthcare along with the latest technologies like machine learning to improve patient care. Our platform is deployed at hundreds of leading hospitals in the US and we’re constantly expanding our reach. We’re not just witnessing the healthcare technology revolution — we’re driving it.
William Chan is CEO and co-founder of Iodine Software. His healthcare experience and expertise in designing technology platforms are guiding Iodine’s success in spearheading artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for the healthcare industry.
Prior to Iodine, William was co-founder and vice president of Product at Crimson, a company focused on improving healthcare provider quality and profitability. Crimson was acquired by The Advisory Board Company, now part of Optum/United Healthcare (NYSE:UNH). William was also the co-founder and vice president of Marketing at WhisperWire, which was acquired by Convergys (now Concentrix), where he led product development efforts with the nation’s largest telecommunications providers. William also grew and managed the product marketing organization at Motive Communications (now part of Alcatel-Lucent), and was a product manager at Oracle Corporation and NetDynamics (now Sun Microsystems/Oracle).
William has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Cornell University and an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School. He holds multiple patents related to healthcare technology.
As COO, CSO, and Compliance Officer, Josh Toub focuses on scaling Iodine Software to achieve our mission of using technology to transform healthcare processes, all the while keeping our customers’ data secure and promoting ethical behavior and compliance. Josh has more than 20 years of technology leadership experience having previously built and led business and technical teams at Blue Fish Development Group and Convergys, amongst other roles. Josh has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and currently resides in Northern California.
Troy Wasilefsky brings over 20 years of global experience working with healthcare organizations and a track record of leading and scaling business growth to Iodine. In his role as Chief Revenue Officer, he is primarily responsible for overall firm revenue growth, sales, account management, marketing, go to market strategies and commercial product launches. Prior to joining Iodine, he held executive roles at Business Talent Group and the Advisory Board Company, including serving as the general manager of the Advisory Board’s international division based in London, UK. Troy has a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, Washington, DC and a master’s degree in economics from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. He currently resides in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Michael Lovell is the CFO of Iodine. He brings over 25 years of financial, operational, and corporate banking experience. Prior to Iodine, Michael was CFO and SVP at Zenoss, a SaaS provider of IT solutions. He also served as CFO of Lifesize, a provider of SaaS and hardware video conferencing solutions, where he led the company through a successful spin-out from Logitech and was Director of FP&A during the company’s acquisition by Logitech. Michael began his career as a corporate banker with Wells Fargo Bank where he graduated from the company’s Credit Management Training and Loan Officer Development Programs. Michael has served on the Board of Trustees of The Cate School in Carpinteria, CA and for 10 years has coached and served as a board member of youth lacrosse in Austin, TX. Michael holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from Denison University.

David Chao is the Chief Technology Officer at Iodine Software, where he oversees Product, Engineering, and Data Science. He was formerly the Chief Technology Officer of The Advisory Board Company – a role in which he was responsible for originating and communicating the Advisory Board’s technology vision, which in turn helped drive the firm’s concrete corporate strategy. Before that, David served as the Chief Technology Officer of Crimson, leading product development across the entirety of the Crimson portfolio – a continuation of the work he began as the first employee of Crimson more than a decade ago. Prior to that, he was a researcher in Higgs Boson physics, publishing papers on models of electroweak symmetry breaking, having received a PhD in theoretical particle Physics.
Fran Jurcak, MSN, RN, CCDS, CCDS-O

Fran Jurcak is an accomplished senior executive with over 30 years of success in healthcare practice, education, consulting and technology. As a healthcare consultant, Fran leveraged her clinical and coding knowledge to support process improvement in the mid-revenue cycle, particularly in the clinical documentation integrity space. These process improvements allowed her clients to successfully minimize mid-cycle leakage and accurately report outcomes of care. She is currently the Chief Clinical Strategist at Iodine Software, where she has worked to bring artificial intelligence and machine learning technology to concurrent CDI workflow. Fran is active in ACDIS, serving on several advisory boards, received the 2017 ACDIS award for Professional Achievement, and is the author of the CCDS Study Guide. She is recognized as a national speaker and author for ACDIS and AHIMA.
In his role as Chief Data Scientist, Lance Eason employs the latest technological innovations in machine learning and natural language processing, as well as applied statistical analysis, to bring intelligence to Iodine’s suite of products. He led the development of Iodine’s initial CDI products and his current focus is on continuing to evolve the ways Iodine helps streamline hospital processes through increasing sophistication at emulating the thought processes and clinical judgement of human clinicians. Previously, he architected systems to facilitate the flow of large volumes of B2B EDI transactions as chief architect of Between Markets, Inovis and later GXS, analyzed the flow of conversational topics across social media graphs at Dachis Group, and developed software to recommend sophisticated telecommunication products at Whisperwire, among other roles.
Anay Bedi oversees growth at Iodine Software. Prior to Iodine, Anay helped found a company called Healthcare Business Insights (HBI), which served hospitals and health systems with a variety of research verticals and was acquired by Decision Resources Group (DRG). While at DRG, Anay oversaw and led growth and innovation in the Provider arena. Prior to HBI, Anay worked as a product leader at a company called Crimson, which was acquired by the Advisory Board. He holds an MHSA from the University of Michigan, and a BS from the University of Minnesota. Personally, Anay enjoys golf and tennis, but also raising his 2-year old son with his wife Anjli in Minnesota
Wade Sanders is the VP of Account Management at Iodine, with a career spanning 22 years as a senior technology executive. He has a diverse background across multiple industries, combined with experience at several start-ups as well as large corporations with 12 years of specific healthcare experience. Wade brings an extensive sales and account management background in building teams and creating culture. He has a BS in Management from Texas Lutheran University and an MBA from Texas State University. Wade is an Austin native and a 7-year veteran at Iodine.
Tim O’Hara is Iodine’s VP of Client Experience, leading corporate and customer strategy to maximize client acquisition, retention, and health. Tim was previously a senior vice president with Optum, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, where he was responsible for business operations and customer success for a software division that served over 1,200 hospital clients throughout the United States. In addition, Tim enjoyed a long career at The Advisory Board Company in a variety of executive roles focused on delivering client value. Outside of work, Tim volunteers extensively with nonprofits in the health and human sector, serving on the boards of SAFE Alliance and Allies Against Slavery and as a Social Venture Partner with Mission Capital. Tim has degrees from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he graduated with the highest academic record, and the University of Virginia, where he graduated as a Jefferson Scholar.
Michele Joyce is the VP of Human Resources, whose work goes well beyond traditional human resources functions. At The Advisory Board Company, Michele was a key member of the executive management team, creating human resource strategies which aligned with short- and long-term business objectives to achieve maximum performance and growth. Prior to that, Michele was First Vice President, Human Resources at OneWest Bank in Austin, Texas. She has also held roles at Dell, Inc. and Invensys Process Systems. Michele has attained several prestigious human resources and business certifications, including Certified Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Global Professional Human Resources (GPHR), Project Management Professional (PMP) and Six Sigma Certification. She earned her BA in Business Administration from Salem University.
