OU Medicine to streamline physician query workflow across its hospitals

Artifact Health, which provides the first and only mobile platform to streamline the physician query process, announced today it has been selected by OU Medicine, Oklahoma’s only comprehensive academic health system of hospitals, clinics and centers of excellence, to bring its innovative solution to OU Medical Center, The Children’s Hospital at OU Medicine and OU Medical Center Edmond.

Our patients and team are at the center of our decision making and the query process can be time consuming and frustrating for physicians, documentation specialists and medical coders,” said Dale Bratzler, D.O., M.P.H., OU Medicine Enterprise Chief Quality Officer. “This system addresses a burdensome experience for our team which is typical of a legacy query process. The one-step, time-savings benefits of this new platform allows providers to quickly and easily respond to queries so they can ensure their ability to focus on what matters most, the patients we care for.”

Artifact’s HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based, mobile query platform allows physicians to quickly and compliantly respond to a query with as few as three taps on their smartphone. By providing physicians with a process that is quick and easy to use, Artifact customers generate notable improvements in hospital and physician coding accuracy and publicly reported quality measures.

“Artifact’s mobile query platform gives providers easy-to-use technology to drive complete and comprehensive patient information in the chart,” said Marisa MacClary, co-founder and chief executive officer of Artifact Health. “We are excited to work with OU Medicine to alleviate some administrative burden for their providers, especially at this extremely difficult time during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
